CORONAVIRUS: Leicester Belgrave Mela Festival 2021 has been cancelled and we will be back for 2022

With the Mela fast approaching and so much uncertainty still around festivals and mass gatherings,  we have had to make the really difficult decision of cancelling this year’s Leicester Belgrave Mela event, which was due to take place on Sunday 22nd August 2021.

This decision was not taken lightly but the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in the organising of the Mela and those that attend our event is paramount including our partners, participants and the general public

We appreciate everyone’s continued support and patience through these unprecedented times and hope that you will all join us for a safer, and even more vibrant Mela festival next year.

We are working with our partners; in particular Leicester City Council to see if there may be an opportunity to present elements of the Mela in an alternative and safer format later on in the year. These are on going discussions and we will update you with any further developments

We hope that you all stay safe and well during these difficult times and look forward to 2022.
